Key Responsibilities (By Role)

Technical Superintendent

  • Manage maintenance, repair, and dry-docking of assigned vessels.
  • Oversee technical inspections, budget control, and compliance audits.
  • Liaise with captains, chief engineers, and class societies.

Marine Operations Manager

  • Ensure safe, efficient vessel operation in compliance with flag/state laws.
  • Monitor voyage performance and port turnaround times.
  • Interface with clients and regulatory agencies (e.g., MCA, IMO).

Crewing Officer

  • Handle recruitment, certification, and onboarding of seafarers.
  • Maintain crew rotation schedules and visa processing.
  • Coordinate crew welfare programs and emergency relief.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 2–10 years in a relevant maritime or shipping sector role.
  • Certifications (for seagoing/technical roles):
  • STCW, ISM, MLC certifications
  • DP (for offshore vessels), CoC (Class 1/2) preferred
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • ERP systems (AMOS, ShipNet, ABS NS5)
  • Microsoft Office and data analytics tools (for analyst roles)
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Problem-solving and multitasking under pressure
  • Knowledge of UK Maritime Law and IMO regulations

Salary and Benefits

Position & Monthly Salary Range (GBP)

  • Technical Superintendent £5,000 – £6,500
  • Marine Operations Manager £5,500 – £7,000
  • Crewing & Administrative Officers £3,000 – £4,500
  • Procurement / Fleet Analyst Roles £3,500 – £5,000
  • HR / Finance Executives £3,000 – £4,800
