Job Overview
- Abu Dhabi Aviation is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Flight Dispatcher to join its operations team. The Flight Dispatcher will be responsible for planning and monitoring flights to ensure safe and efficient operations in compliance with regulatory requirements and company procedures. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, strong situational awareness, and the ability to work in a high-pressure aviation environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare flight plans considering aircraft performance, weather conditions, NOTAMs, air traffic control restrictions, and company policies.
- Coordinate with pilots, air traffic control, ground handling, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth flight operations.
- Monitor flight progress and provide operational support during irregular or emergency situations.
- Ensure compliance with all GCAA (General Civil Aviation Authority) regulations and operational standards.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of flight dispatch activities.
- Provide pre-flight briefings and operational information to flight crew.
- Review and update operational procedures to enhance efficiency and safety.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Flight Dispatcher License issued by the GCAA or ICAO contracting state.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a licensed Flight Dispatcher (preferably in helicopter or mixed operations).
- In-depth knowledge of aviation regulations, flight planning systems, and meteorology.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is an advantage.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and decision-making ability under pressure.
