This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and assisting in the provision of nutritious meals in healthcare and senior care settings. The Cook’s Helper will work alongside the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist cooks with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, and portioning ingredients.
• Ensure kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils are clean and properly stored.
• Prepare and assemble simple meals and beverages under supervision.
• Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
• Help with inventory management and stock replenishment.
• Handle kitchen waste disposal in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Assist in serving food to residents and patients as needed.
• Follow company policies and procedures to ensure high-quality food service.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset but not mandatory.
• Basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs if required.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• LMIA sponsorship available for qualified foreign candidates.
