Job Overview:
The AC Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of air conditioning systems and equipment within the hotel. This position requires expertise in the operation of HVAC systems, ensuring a comfortable and efficient environment for both guests and hotel staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance checks on all air conditioning units, including cooling towers, chillers, and other HVAC equipment.
- Diagnose issues and perform repairs on faulty AC systems, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
- Install new AC systems and associated equipment as required by the hotel’s ongoing development and renovation projects.
- Monitor the temperature control systems to maintain optimum comfort levels in guest rooms, conference rooms, and public areas.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work carried out on AC units.
- Follow health and safety protocols while carrying out work.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
- Coordinate with other team members in the Engineering Department to address any related technical issues.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements related to HVAC systems.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience as an AC Technician or similar role, with at least 3 years of experience in a hotel or similar environment.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment, including the ability to diagnose and repair issues.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Certification or training in HVAC systems is highly preferred.
- Must be flexible with working hours, including weekends and public holidays.
