Job Overview:
The Cashier will be responsible for processing transactions efficiently, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining accurate cash handling procedures. The ideal candidate should be friendly, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using cash registers or POS systems.
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions while ensuring accuracy.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering inquiries, and resolving payment-related issues.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as per store policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- Assist in balancing cash drawers and reconciling daily sales.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the Store Supervisor.
- Promote special offers and loyalty programs to customers.
- Assist with stocking shelves, price tagging, and general store maintenance when required.
- Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and cash-handling procedures.
- Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training in retail or accounting is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience as a cashier or in a customer service role is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong numerical and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle transactions accurately under pressure.
- Knowledge of POS systems and basic computer skills.
- A friendly and professional attitude.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Qatar.
