Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Elderly Care Nurse to join our in-home care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, personalized care to elderly clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires a nursing graduate or a Registered Nurse (RN) with practical experience in elderly care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Elderly Care: Provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities, personal hygiene, mobility support, and meal preparation. Monitor vital signs and address basic healthcare needs accurately.
- Care Planning: Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to each client’s unique health requirements and personal preferences.
- Patient and Family Education: Offer guidance and support to families, educating them on elder care techniques, proper use of medical equipment, and ongoing care needs.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures, ensuring a safe and clean environment for clients. Maintain up-to-date documentation of care provided in compliance with homecare standards.
Qualifications:
- Certification and Education:
- Nursing graduate (Bachelor’s degree or diploma) with experience in elderly care; OR
- Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in elderly care.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a healthcare setting focused on elderly or homecare services.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of elderly care needs, including chronic condition management and personal assistance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work independently and provide high-quality care in a home setting.
