Job Overview:
NHS Blood and Transplant is looking to recruit reliable and professional Transport Drivers to safely deliver blood, plasma, platelets, organs, tissues, and medical equipment between donation centres, laboratories, and hospitals. This is a key frontline role ensuring that vital supplies reach their destinations quickly and securely—often in life-saving timeframes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate NHSBT transport vehicles across regional and national routes
- Collect and deliver blood, organs, samples, and other medical items
- Ensure temperature control and secure handling of all transported materials
- Complete journey logs and delivery documentation accurately
- Communicate effectively with medical staff and logistics coordinators
- Respond to urgent and out-of-hours transport requests as required
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and routine checks of vehicles
Requirements:
- Full, clean UK or international driving licence (Category B minimum; C1 licence preferred for some roles)
- Basic understanding of vehicle safety and road transport regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols
