AJ Bell is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Software Test Engineer to join its growing Technology team. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and define test plans
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and integration testing
- Identify, log, and track software bugs and inconsistencies
- Support continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices
- Contribute to test documentation and quality metrics
- Ensure testing activities align with Agile sprints and release goals
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in software testing (manual and/or automation)
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Postman)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams
- Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python is desirable
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Preferred:
- ISTQB certification
- Knowledge of financial services or fintech domain
