Position Summary:

Elsewedy Electric is seeking an experienced and results-driven Construction Manager to oversee our construction projects in the United Arab Emirates. The Construction Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction activities, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of delivering successful projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with project stakeholders. Define project objectives, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Resource Allocation: Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure efficient project execution. Monitor resource utilization and adjust plans as necessary to meet project requirements.
  • Site Management: Provide on-site supervision and oversight of construction activities, including safety, quality control, and progress tracking. Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts, subcontracts, and supplier agreements, including procurement, negotiation, and administration. Monitor contract performance and enforce contractual obligations.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate project risks, including safety hazards, design discrepancies, and schedule delays. Develop contingency plans and strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  • Budget Control: Monitor project costs, expenditures, and cash flow to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-control measures as needed.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities. Provide progress updates, address concerns, and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance and quality control measures to ensure that construction work meets or exceeds project specifications and industry standards. Conduct inspections and audits to verify compliance.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress photographs, change orders, and as-built drawings. Ensure that all project records are organized, complete, and accessible.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution. Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on large-scale infrastructure projects. Previous experience in the energy sector is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction management software, project scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
  • Leadership Ability: Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals. Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
