Position Summary:

The Construction Worker will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks on construction sites, including manual labor, operating machinery, and assisting skilled tradespeople. Key Responsibilities:
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by cleaning and removing debris, setting up scaffolding, and loading and unloading materials.
- Manual Labor: Perform physical labor tasks such as digging trenches, lifting heavy objects, and mixing concrete.
- Machinery Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and equipment, including forklifts, jackhammers, and drills, under the supervision of skilled operators.
- Assisting Tradespeople: Work alongside skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers to assist with various construction tasks.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
- Material Handling: Handle and transport construction materials and tools to designated locations on the site.
- Measurements and Layout: Assist in measuring and marking areas for construction work, ensuring accuracy and precision.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all work performed meets the quality standards set by the project manager and complies with building codes and regulations.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other tradespeople to ensure smooth and efficient project execution.
- Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in construction or a related field. Previous experience with construction machinery and tools is preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working in various weather conditions, and standing for extended periods.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment. Ability to operate basic machinery and tools.
- Team Player: Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Safety Awareness: Commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.
