Position Summary:

Rosewood Hotel is seeking a dynamic and experienced Duty Manager to join our team in Qatar. The Duty Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel and providing exceptional service to our guests. This position requires strong leadership skills, impeccable attention to detail, and a passion for delivering luxury hospitality experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for guests, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise the daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage outlets, and other guest services areas. Monitor service quality and adherence to brand standards.
  • Staff Management: Lead and motivate a team of hotel staff, including front desk agents, concierge, housekeeping, and security personnel. Provide guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Problem-Solving: Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly and effectively. Take proactive measures to anticipate and address potential challenges.
  • Emergency Response: Act as a point of contact in emergencies, coordinating response efforts and ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff.
  • Financial Management: Monitor hotel occupancy, revenue, and expenses to ensure profitability and operational efficiency. Implement cost-saving measures and revenue-generating initiatives as appropriate.
  • Guest Services: Oversee the delivery of personalized services and amenities to guests, anticipating their needs and preferences. Ensure that guest requests and special arrangements are fulfilled to the highest standards.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with hotel staff, management, and other departments. Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and compliance with brand standards.
  • Administrative Tasks: Complete administrative duties such as shift reports, payroll processing, and staff scheduling. Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel management or a similar role, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively manage staff, resolve conflicts, and deliver exceptional service.
  • Hospitality Knowledge: Thorough understanding of hotel operations, guest services, and industry best practices. Familiarity with hotel management software and systems.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to handle challenging situations with professionalism and composure.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in hotel management are advantageous.
