Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our team as an Event Sales Manager. The Event Sales Manager is responsible for generating revenue through the sale of event spaces, meeting rooms, and banquet services at Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of driving sales and exceeding revenue targets in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Generation: Identify and prospect potential clients, including corporate clients, event planners, wedding planners, and other organizations, to generate leads and secure bookings for event spaces and banquet services.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, preferences, and budgetary requirements, and providing tailored solutions and recommendations to meet their event requirements.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare comprehensive event proposals, including venue options, pricing packages, and catering options, and present proposals to clients in a clear and professional manner to secure bookings and contracts.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions of contracts, including pricing, payment terms, and cancellation policies, to ensure mutually beneficial agreements and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Event Coordination: Work closely with clients and internal teams, including catering, banquet operations, and audiovisual services, to ensure seamless execution of events and exceed client expectations.
  • Sales Reporting: Track and analyze sales performance, pipeline activity, and market trends, and provide regular reports and updates to management on sales activity, revenue targets, and business opportunities.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends, industry best practices, and opportunities for revenue growth and market expansion.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event sales or hospitality sales, with a proven track record of driving sales and exceeding revenue targets.
  • Sales Skills: Strong sales acumen, with excellent negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills, and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Hospitality Knowledge: Solid understanding of the hospitality industry, including event planning, catering, banquet services, and venue management.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and senior management.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve sales goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate client schedules and business needs.
