Key Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons that align with the EYFS framework, ensuring a balanced and holistic approach to early childhood education.
- Child Development: Monitor and assess each child’s progress, providing personalized support to help them reach their developmental milestones.
- Classroom Environment: Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
- Parent Communication: Build strong relationships with parents, providing regular updates on their child’s progress and working collaboratively to support their development.
- Behavior Management: Implement positive behavior management strategies that promote social skills, self-regulation, and a positive learning environment.
- Professional Development: Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in early childhood education by participating in ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, teaching assistants, and school leadership to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Health & Safety: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care, adhering to the school’s policies and procedures.
- Resource Management: Utilize and manage classroom resources effectively to enhance learning experiences and meet the needs of all students.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field. A teaching qualification recognized in the UAE is required (e.g., PGCE, EYFS certification).
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience teaching in an EYFS setting, preferably within an international school environment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS framework, child development principles, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young children, parents, and colleagues.
- Creativity: A creative and innovative approach to teaching, with the ability to design engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
- Patience & Empathy: Strong patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a diverse and multicultural school environment, with a sensitivity to different cultural practices and traditions.
