Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing detailed analysis and recommendations to support strategic planning.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely invoicing, payment processing, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, preparing and filing tax returns, and liaising with external auditors and tax authorities as required.
- Internal Controls: Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Audit Preparation: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing all necessary documentation and ensuring timely resolution of audit findings.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure the company maintains adequate liquidity for operations and investments.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are highly desirable.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and tax laws in the UAE.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Integrity: High level of integrity and ethical standards, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.
