Position Summary:

One Imperium is seeking enthusiastic and customer-oriented Gym Assistants to join our team in Qatar. The Gym Assistant will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the fitness center, providing support to members, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a passion for fitness, and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Member Assistance: Greet and assist members and visitors as they enter the gym. Provide information about gym facilities, equipment, and fitness programs. Answer inquiries and address member concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and clean gym equipment to ensure it is in good working condition. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe gym environment. Ensure that all areas, including locker rooms and restrooms, are kept tidy and sanitized. Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Class Support: Assist in setting up and taking down equipment for fitness classes and special events. Support instructors during classes by providing necessary materials and assistance.
  • Customer Service: Deliver excellent customer service by engaging with members, understanding their needs, and providing personalized assistance. Promote a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the gym.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory of gym supplies, including towels, cleaning materials, and fitness accessories. Ensure an adequate supply is maintained at all times.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties such as membership sign-ups, scheduling appointments, and maintaining accurate records of member attendance and activities.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other gym staff, including trainers and management, to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery. Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a fitness or wellness environment, is desirable.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to interact positively with a diverse group of members and staff. Basic computer skills are required.
  • Physical Fitness: Good physical condition and the ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Customer Focus: A passion for fitness and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. Ability to motivate and inspire members to achieve their fitness goals.
  • Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification are advantageous but not required. Training will be provided.
  • Language: Proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training or coursework in fitness, wellness, or customer service is beneficial.
