Position Summary:

AG Group is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Specialist to join our team in Qatar. The IT Specialist will be responsible for managing and supporting IT systems, networks, and infrastructure to ensure the smooth operation of our clients’ IT environments. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality IT services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Administration: Manage and maintain IT systems and servers, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and monitoring. Ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
  • Network Management: Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
  • End-User Support: Provide technical support and assistance to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing updates and patches, and resolving IT-related problems.
  • Security Management: Implement and maintain security measures to protect IT systems and data from unauthorized access, viruses, and other security threats. Conduct security audits and assessments.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity. Test backup systems regularly to verify data recoverability.
  • Software Deployment: Coordinate the deployment of software applications and updates, including planning, testing, and rollout. Provide training and documentation to end-users as needed.
  • IT Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of IT systems, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Keep records up to date and organized for easy reference.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with third-party vendors and service providers to procure IT equipment, software licenses, and support services. Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
  • IT Projects: Participate in IT projects, including planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to achieve project goals and deliverables.


  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support and administration. Experience in system and network administration, cybersecurity, and project management is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing Windows and Linux/Unix operating systems, virtualization technologies, networking protocols, and security tools. Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) are advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex IT issues efficiently.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users effectively.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with team members, clients, and vendors to achieve common goals.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Additional certifications or training in specialized areas of IT are beneficial.
