Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Associate to join our team at Food Palace Qatar. The IT Support Associate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to our employees, ensuring smooth and efficient IT operations. This role requires a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide first-level technical support to employees by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. Respond to support requests via phone, email, or in-person promptly.
  • System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates on computer systems, servers, and networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • User Training: Assist in training employees on the use of computer systems, software applications, and other IT resources. Create user guides and documentation as needed.
  • Hardware Management: Set up, configure, and maintain computer workstations, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment. Ensure proper inventory management of IT assets.
  • Network Management: Monitor and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points. Address connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
  • Security Compliance: Implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect company data and systems. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Software Support: Install, update, and troubleshoot software applications used within the organization. Assist with license management and compliance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team and other departments to support technology initiatives and projects. Provide input on improving IT processes and systems.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and IT assets. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support or a related role. Experience in a retail environment is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are advantageous.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems
  • Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and protocols
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
