Responsibilities:
- Coffee Preparation: Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, cold brews, and other specialty drinks, following standardized recipes and ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly, efficient, and personalized service to customers, taking their orders, answering questions, and ensuring their satisfaction with their coffee choices.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the coffee preparation area, equipment, and serving area clean and organized at all times, following sanitation and hygiene standards.
- Cash Handling: Process customer payments accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash transactions when necessary.
- Product Knowledge: Stay updated on the coffee menu, seasonal offerings, and any promotions to make recommendations to customers and upsell additional products.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with other team members, including kitchen staff and management, to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
- Adhere to Safety Regulations: Comply with all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and secure workplace for both customers and staff.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Prior experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role within a coffee shop or cafe setting is advantageous, but not mandatory.
- Coffee Knowledge: Basic knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso extraction, milk frothing, and latte art, is a plus.
- Customer-focused: Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Visa Eligibility: Candidates must be eligible for visa sponsorship in Canada, meeting the necessary immigration requirements.
