As part of our expanding team, we are looking for a dedicated and customer-oriented Cashier to join our retail operations in Abu Dhabi.
Job Overview:
The Cashier will be responsible for handling financial transactions, processing payments, and ensuring excellent customer service. The role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism to manage cash registers efficiently while assisting customers with their purchases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer purchases and payments accurately using cash registers or POS systems.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and digital payment transactions securely.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges as per company policies.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service by answering inquiries and assisting with product details.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and reconcile cash registers at the end of shifts.
- Report any transaction discrepancies or cash shortages to the Store Manager.
- Assist in stock management, including price labeling and product displays.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the cashier counter and checkout area.
- Follow company policies, cash handling procedures, and safety guidelines.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training in accounting or retail management is a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience as a Cashier, Sales Associate, or in a customer service role is preferred.
Skills:
- Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.
- A customer-focused and professional attitude.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the UAE.
