Job Description:
The University of Oulu is seeking a creative and experienced Education Designer to join its academic development and innovation team. As an Education Designer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing educational content, digital learning environments, and pedagogical approaches across various faculties.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about modern learning, curriculum design, and digital transformation in higher education. Visa sponsorship and relocation support are available for the right international candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality educational materials and curricula
- Collaborate with faculty and academic staff on pedagogical innovation
- Support digital learning initiatives and e-learning platform integration
- Provide training and workshops for academic staff on modern teaching methods
- Ensure educational programs meet national and international quality standards
- Participate in research and development projects related to education and learning technologies
- Collect and analyze feedback to improve learning experiences
Requirements:
- Master’s degree or higher in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field
- Experience in curriculum development, digital learning tools, and pedagogical design
- Familiarity with higher education systems and academic quality standards
- Strong understanding of educational technologies (e.g., Moodle, MOOCs, blended learning)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written); Finnish is a plus
- Experience working in multicultural or international academic settings is an asset
- Eligible for residence and work permit in Finland (visa sponsorship offered)
