Job Description:
Irwin & Dow is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Finance Associate to join a boutique strategic advisory firm with a presence in the UAE, UK, USA, and associated territories. The successful candidate will provide high-quality financial and operational support across multiple regions, ensuring the seamless execution of financial processes and compliance with international standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers, ensuring all transactions are recorded promptly and correctly.
- Expense Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and identifying areas for cost optimization.
- Intercompany Transfers: Manage and execute intercompany financial transfers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international financial regulations.
- External Collaboration: Liaise with external accounting firms to coordinate audits, tax filings, and ensure adherence to local and international financial regulations.
- Compliance and Licensing: Assist in managing compliance matters and international licensing requirements, working closely with the international accounting team to ensure all operations meet regulatory standards.
- Administrative Support: Contribute to office management and general administrative tasks, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience with QuickBooks is essential. Candidates should have a strong background in preparing high-quality expense reports and a solid understanding of bookkeeping principles.
- Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is required.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is considered an advantage.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel internationally to Europe and the USA as required, with no visa restrictions.
