Key Responsibilities:
- Receiving Shipments: Collaborate with procurement staff to list expected deliveries, receive shipments, and sign paperwork upon receipt.
- Inspection and Verification: Unload packages from incoming trucks, inspect contents to ensure they are undamaged, and verify packages according to orders and invoices regarding quantity, quality, and price.
- Stock Organization: Label deliveries, allocate them to their designated place, and maintain accurate records to assist in inventory control.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all received goods meet the company’s quality standards and report any discrepancies or damages to suppliers for resolution.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies during the receiving and storage processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a receiving clerk or in a similar position is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in operating forklifts, working knowledge of computer programs for data entry, and a solid understanding of health and safety regulations.
- Attributes: Excellent organizational skills, keen attention to detail, strong communication and interpersonal abilities, and good physical condition.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
