Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
- Support mobility: helping with walking, transfers (e.g., bed to wheelchair), and basic exercise.
- Monitor and report changes in patients’ physical or emotional condition to supervising healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications or perform basic healthcare tasks under supervision, if trained and permitted.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with light housekeeping and meal preparation based on dietary needs.
- Maintain accurate care records and report incidents promptly.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to hygiene, health, and safety protocols
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience as a Caregiver, Home Healthcare Assistant, or similar role (preferred).
- Basic understanding of home care health standards, mobility assistance, and patient handling.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a compassionate, empathetic attitude.
- Physical ability to assist with lifting, mobility, and personal care tasks.
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma; additional qualifications in caregiving, nursing assistance, or first aid are a plus.
