Job Overview:
EIGHT BIT OPERATIONS LIMITED, a growing UK-based technology services provider, is looking to hire a skilled and motivated IT Technician to support the company’s expanding IT infrastructure and client services. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and supporting users with technical problems.
This opportunity includes visa sponsorship for qualified international candidates under the UK Skilled Worker visa route.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide first and second-line IT support to internal teams and external clients
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems
- Troubleshoot system issues and resolve technical faults promptly
- Maintain system security and ensure regular backups are performed
- Monitor network performance and perform routine maintenance
- Assist with onboarding of new employees and set up IT workstations
- Maintain IT documentation and asset inventories
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an IT support or technician role (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, networking, and basic hardware troubleshooting
- IT-related qualifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco certifications) are an advantage
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
