Job Overview
Tarek ALMousa Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Lab Assistant to support the daily operations of its diagnostic laboratory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for specimen collection, data entry, equipment preparation, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Collect and label specimens (blood, urine, etc.) from patients accurately.
- Prepare samples for analysis by medical technologists.
- Operate and maintain lab equipment and machinery.
- Assist with diagnostic testing under the supervision of senior staff.
- Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of laboratory instruments and workstations.
- Record, enter, and organize patient test results using laboratory information systems.
- Comply with infection control and laboratory safety protocols.
- Maintain adequate inventory of lab supplies and assist with ordering.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma/Certificate in Laboratory Science or Medical Lab Technology preferred.
- DHA or HAAD eligibility/license (or willingness to obtain).
- Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
- Good communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
- Freshers are encouraged to apply; training will be provided.
Salary & Benefits
- Monthly Salary: AED 3,500 – AED 5,000 (based on experience and qualifications)
