Position Purpose:
The Nurse Coordinator will provide comprehensive nursing care within community settings, assisting patients in achieving optimal health and quality of life, particularly those with chronic diseases. This role involves delivering skilled nursing services as part of Patient Support Programs, adhering to Axios International’s policies and procedures, and maintaining established standards of nursing practice in compliance with local and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct telephonic follow-up consultations.
- Monitor vital signs during home visits, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation.
- Assess blood glucose levels and provide education and support to patients and families.
- Prepare and administer medications as prescribed, including injections, IVs, inhalations, oral medications, infusions, and rectal treatments.
- Manage pain through medication monitoring and support for patients with acute or chronic conditions.
- Offer education and counseling tailored to the patient’s treatment and care management needs.
- Evaluate and change wound dressings as necessary.
- Provide general nursing care and assess mental status.
- Supervise and educate family members and caregivers regularly.
- Report adverse events and any changes in patient health to the program and/or treating physician, following local regulations and Axios protocols.
Organizational Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain respectful, cooperative working relationships to ensure seamless service delivery to patients, families, and clients.
- Understand and fulfill responsibilities related to maintaining a safe workplace and reducing workplace injuries.
- Assist Program Managers in managing Patient Support Programs by liaising with hospitals, distributors, pharmacies, and patients.
- Conduct home visits for patient care as required.
- Prepare timely monitoring reports, including patient numbers and logistics, and quality assurance reports.
- Maintain and update electronic program files, including patient and quality assurance data.
- Perform administrative duties as needed.
Educational Background and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a healthcare setting.
- Valid local health authority license or eligibility letter.
- Excellent command of English.
- Demonstrated clinical nursing knowledge and experience in direct patient care.
Job Circumstances:
- Based in the regional office with frequent travel to clients and partners, potentially outside the designated region.
- Flexibility in travel and working hours is essential.
- Travel to the UAE may be required for training purposes.
- Certification in CPR and/or First Aid is mandatory.
- Provision of a Good Standing Certificate not older than 6 months is required.
