Key Responsibilities:
- Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and develop preventive measures.
- Training and Education: Provide HSE training and induction programs to employees, promoting a culture of safety awareness.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and regulatory compliance.
- Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans, coordinating drills and ensuring readiness for potential incidents.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or OSHA are required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety officer role, preferably within the industrial or construction sectors.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to recognize onsite risk factors and take appropriate action.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous.
