Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Elite Projects. The ideal candidate will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and provide strategic financial insights to support the company’s growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and company policies.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and business development initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal audits to ensure financial accuracy and transparency.
- Implement and maintain effective financial controls and accounting procedures.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction or project management industry.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Qatari tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar systems) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and accuracy in financial reporting.
