Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, ensuring all stock levels are up to date and well-documented.
- Receive incoming merchandise and verify the quality and quantity of goods delivered.
- Efficiently organize and store products in designated areas, ensuring accessibility and ease of retrieval.
- Conduct regular stock checks and coordinate with the purchasing department to replenish low or depleted stock.
- Oversee the packing and labeling of products for storage, shipment, or display, adhering to company standards.
- Collaborate with the sales team to fulfill customer orders promptly and accurately.
- Assist in the preparation of stock reports, highlighting stock movement, and identifying potential discrepancies.
- Ensure the store’s cleanliness and tidiness, organizing shelves and displays for an appealing shopping environment.
- Monitor expiration dates and shelf life of perishable items, ensuring timely removal or promotion of such products.
- Comply with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all store employees and customers.
Requirements:
- Familiarity with inventory software and proficiency in using computer applications for record-keeping.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and customers.
- Physical stamina to handle the movement and lifting of heavy boxes or products.
