Responsibilities:
- Garment Alterations: Perform alterations, repairs, and adjustments on various types of clothing, including suits, dresses, trousers, shirts, and other apparel items, to meet customer specifications and ensure a perfect fit.
- Custom Garment Creation: Work closely with customers to understand their preferences and measurements, and then create custom-made garments from scratch, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.
- Sewing and Stitching: Utilize sewing machines and other tools to sew, stitch, and finish garments according to established patterns and designs.
- Fabric Selection: Advise customers on fabric options and assist in selecting suitable materials for their garments.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished garments to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements before delivery.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing any inquiries or concerns, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction.
- Maintain Work Area: Keep the tailoring area clean, organized, and well-maintained, including the proper storage of fabrics, threads, and equipment.
Requirements:
- Sewing Skills: Proficient in using sewing machines and other tailoring tools to create and modify garments.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and precision in taking measurements and performing alterations to achieve the perfect fit.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and understand their specific tailoring needs.
