Position Overview:
Daffodils Nursery is seeking a responsible and reliable School Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our young students while providing a friendly and professional transportation service. The School Bus Driver will be responsible for transporting children to and from the nursery, ensuring that they arrive safely and on time. This role requires a patient, caring individual who understands the importance of safety and enjoys working with young children.

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport children to and from Daffodils Nursery following a designated route and schedule.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers, including assisting children in boarding and exiting the bus.
- Conduct daily inspections of the bus to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Maintain a clean and organized bus environment, ensuring all safety equipment is in place and functional.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and Daffodils Nursery policies to ensure a safe journey.
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and nursery staff regarding any transportation-related issues or delays.
- Manage student behavior on the bus to ensure a safe and positive environment, following Daffodils Nursery’s guidelines and protocols.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents.
- Attend regular training sessions and meetings as required to maintain a high standard of safety and service.
- Assist with other duties as assigned, including helping with nursery events or activities as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid UAE driver’s license with a bus driving endorsement.
- Proven experience as a school bus driver or in a similar role, preferably with young children.
- Strong knowledge of UAE traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and reliability.
- Ability to maintain a calm and patient demeanor, especially in stressful situations.
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable personality.
- Ability to work early morning and afternoon shifts, with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend duties.
- Understanding of child safety practices and protocols.
- First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.
