Key Responsibilities
- Tailoring Services: Perform alterations, repairs, and adjustments to guests’ clothing, including suits, dresses, trousers, and uniforms.
- Measurements: Take accurate measurements of guests to ensure precise fitting and customization of garments.
- Garment Construction: Sew, stitch, and assemble garments according to established patterns and specifications.
- Fabric Selection: Assist guests in selecting appropriate fabrics, colors, and styles for their tailored garments.
- Customer Service: Provide personalized service to guests, addressing their tailoring needs and preferences with professionalism and courtesy.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all tailored garments meet quality standards and adhere to the hotel’s brand guidelines.
- Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of tailoring supplies, including fabrics, threads, and sewing equipment, and reorder as needed.
- Adaptability: Flexibly accommodate urgent requests and last-minute alterations to meet guests’ timelines and expectations.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as housekeeping and concierge, to coordinate guest services and enhance the overall guest experience.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience as a Tailor or Seamstress, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting, is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Excellent sewing skills and proficiency in garment construction techniques. Knowledge of different fabrics, patterns, and sewing equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and ability to produce precise, high-quality workmanship.
- Customer Focus: Strong customer service skills with a focus on meeting and exceeding guests’ expectations.
- Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and colleagues.
