We are seeking a personable and energetic Waitress to join our dynamic team at The Black Kitchen Restaurant. Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Service: Greet guests warmly as they arrive, escort them to their tables, and ensure they are comfortable. Provide menus and introduce the specials of the day.
- Order Taking: Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests, making recommendations based on their preferences and dietary requirements. Enter orders into the POS system promptly.
- Food & Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, ensuring that all orders are accurate and presented beautifully. Check on guests periodically to ensure they are satisfied with their meal and service.
- Table Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting and clearing tables, refilling beverages, and attending to any spills or messes promptly.
- Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation. Be prepared to answer questions and provide detailed information to guests.
- Payment Processing: Handle guest payments efficiently, including cash, credit card transactions, and processing any special payment requests or discounts.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other waitstaff to ensure smooth operation and a seamless dining experience for guests.
- Customer Feedback: Listen to and address guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and a positive attitude, ensuring any issues are resolved promptly and to the guest’s satisfaction.
- Upselling: Promote specials, new items, and additional courses to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Ad Hoc Duties: Assist with opening and closing duties, inventory management, and other tasks as assigned by management to support the overall operations of the restaurant.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a waitress or in a customer service role in the hospitality industry preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on providing high-quality service.
- Professional appearance and demeanor, with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and familiarity with basic computer skills.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages, such as Arabic, is a plus.
- UAE residency or valid work permit required.
