Job Description:
TRANSWILL ENGINEERING LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Draftsman to join their dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical drawings and designs that align with project specifications and industry standards. This role requires proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software and a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and Design: Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls using CAD software.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with engineers and other team members to understand design requirements and resolve any design-related issues.
- Review and Analysis: Analyze specifications, sketches, and ideas to assess factors affecting component designs and the procedures and instructions to be followed.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of designs, including dimensions, materials, and procedures.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all designs comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in Mechanical Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical drafting or design, preferably within the building maintenance unit (BMU) industry or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and a strong understanding of mechanical design principles.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to produce accurate and high-quality designs with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve design challenges efficiently.
