Your responsibilities may include:
- Recording and reconciling financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets in accordance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
- Performing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting
- Analyzing financial data and variances, identifying trends and areas for improvement, and providing insights to management
- Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations
- Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and vendors, to address accounting issues and inquiries
- Supporting financial audits and reviews, preparing documentation and schedules as needed
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Participating in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP or IFRS
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Fluency in English; knowledge of French, German, or Luxembourgish is a plus
