Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Farm Supervisor to join our team. Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership:
- Provide leadership and guidance to farm workers, overseeing daily tasks and activities.
- Assign duties and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient use of labor and resources.
- Train and mentor farm workers to maintain high standards of performance and productivity.
Farm Operations:
- Monitor and manage all aspects of mushroom cultivation, including substrate preparation, spawning, cropping, and harvesting.
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements.
- Implement measures to optimize crop yields, quality, and efficiency.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections of crops and growing environments to assess health, growth, and quality.
- Monitor environmental conditions and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain optimal growing conditions.
- Enforce strict hygiene and sanitation practices to prevent contamination and ensure food safety.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including substrate, spawn, and other materials.
- Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery of supplies.
- Monitor inventory usage and implement strategies to minimize waste and reduce costs.
Safety and Compliance:
- Promote a culture of safety among farm workers, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including food safety, environmental, and labor laws.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in agricultural production, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of mushroom cultivation techniques and best practices.
- Familiarity with farm equipment and machinery.
