Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Stores Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a commitment to safe and efficient driving practices. As a Stores Driver at Porter Airlines Inc., you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of aircraft parts, equipment, and supplies to various locations, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Operations:
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport aircraft parts, equipment, and supplies between warehouses, maintenance facilities, and other locations.
- Load and unload materials, ensuring they are securely transported and protected from damage.
- Follow designated delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery and pickup of items.
- Verify delivery instructions and addresses before departure to minimize delivery errors.
Inventory Management:
- Assist with inventory management by verifying delivery orders and reporting any discrepancies to the logistics or warehouse team.
- Keep accurate records of delivered orders, including delivery times, customer signatures, and any special instructions.
- Help maintain the organization and cleanliness of the warehouse and storage areas.
Customer Service:
- Provide friendly and professional service to internal customers, ensuring all deliveries and pickups are handled with efficiency and courtesy.
- Communicate effectively with maintenance and operational teams to coordinate deliveries and address any issues or concerns promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles.
- Follow company safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe handling and transport of materials.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery vehicle is in proper working condition.
- Report any vehicle maintenance needs or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Skills:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver delivery vehicles.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic math skills for verifying delivery orders and recording inventory.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading materials.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail to ensure accurate deliveries and inventory management.
