Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery Services: Safely and efficiently deliver groceries to customers’ homes in a timely manner, following designated routes and schedules.
- Customer Interaction: Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries. Assist customers with carrying groceries into their homes and answer any questions they may have.
- Product Handling: Handle groceries with care to ensure they remain in perfect condition during transit and delivery. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine checks and inspections on delivery vehicles to ensure they are in optimal condition. Report any issues or concerns to the relevant supervisor.
- Health and Safety: Adhere to all health and safety regulations and best practices. Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle to ensure the safety of all passengers and cargo.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including customer signatures and delivery times. Report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate department.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to coordinate deliveries and resolve any delivery-related issues or concerns.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other delivery drivers and warehouse staff to ensure the efficient operation of the delivery service.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a customer service role is preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.
- Skills: Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry heavy items and navigate stairs when delivering groceries to customers’ homes.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Ability to adapt to changing schedules and workload.
- Reliability: Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Ability to work independently and take initiative when needed.
