Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as a General Accountant. The General Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records and transactions of Al Ahrar Hotel Supplies LLC, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness in all accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, proficiency in financial software systems, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and professionalism in financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate and timely financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and budget variance analysis, to provide insights into the company’s financial performance.
  • Accounts Payable: Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice verification, processing payments, and reconciling vendor statements, to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices and expenses.
  • Accounts Receivable: Oversee accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, and cash application, to ensure timely and accurate recording of revenue and receipt of payments from customers.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies and ensuring accuracy in cash balances and transactions.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns, including VAT returns and corporate income tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and deadlines.
  • Audit Support: Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, providing documentation, explanations, and support as needed to ensure smooth and successful audit processes.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis and forecasting, including budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling, to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in accounting processes, implementing best practices and efficiency measures to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy and productivity.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. CPA or ACCA certification is preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with demonstrated proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and taxation.
  • Accounting Software: Proficiency in accounting software systems, such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Oracle, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends, and make informed recommendations.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and analysis, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve common goals and objectives.
