Position Summary:

Paperlander is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Printing Press Supervisor to oversee our printing operations in the United Arab Emirates. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the printing press, ensuring that all print jobs are completed efficiently, accurately, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the printing press, including scheduling, production, and quality control.
  • Ensure all print jobs are completed on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
  • Monitor the performance of printing equipment, conduct regular maintenance, and troubleshoot any issues to minimize downtime.
  • Train, mentor, and manage a team of press operators and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Collaborate with the production planning team to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all printed materials meet the company’s high standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities, including job logs, maintenance reports, and inventory levels.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and other departments to address any issues or concerns related to print production.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in printing press operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • In-depth knowledge of printing processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using printing management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
