Key Responsibilities:
- Craft custom-made sofas according to design specifications and client requirements.
- Select appropriate materials, including wood, fabric, and foam, to ensure durability and comfort.
- Construct sofa frames using various woodworking techniques and tools.
- Perform precise cutting, sewing, and upholstery work to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Assemble sofa components, ensuring structural integrity and alignment.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to maintain the highest standards of craftsmanship.
- Repair and refurbish existing sofas as needed, including reupholstering and frame repairs.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop new sofa models and improve existing designs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in furniture manufacturing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in woodworking, upholstery, or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in sofa making or furniture manufacturing.
- Proficiency in using woodworking and upholstery tools and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of different types of wood, fabrics, and cushioning materials.
