Position Summary:
Savers / Value Village is currently seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join our team as Retail Warehouse Associates in Canada. Retail Warehouse Associates play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our thrift stores by managing incoming donations, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Donation Processing: Sort, inspect, and process incoming donations of clothing, accessories, household items, and other merchandise.
- Inventory Management: Organize and categorize donated items, ensuring that they are properly labeled, priced, and displayed for sale.
- Stocking and Replenishment: Restock shelves and racks with merchandise, and assist with moving and organizing inventory as needed.
- Quality Control: Inspect donated items for quality, cleanliness, and safety, and remove any items that do not meet our standards.
- Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including sweeping, mopping, and removing trash and debris.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members and departments to achieve daily goals and objectives.
- Customer Service Support: Assist customers with locating items, answering questions, and providing friendly and helpful service as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in retail, warehouse, or a related field is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to [weight limit] and perform physical tasks, including bending, stooping, and reaching.
