Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team of construction professionals. As a Welder at ECO HOMES NZ LIMITED, you will play a vital role in the fabrication and assembly of structural components for our eco-friendly homes. Key Responsibilities:

  • Metal Fabrication: Fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Welding: Perform welding operations using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the quality and integrity of welded components through thorough inspection and adherence to standards.
  • Assembly: Assist in the assembly of structural elements, including beams, columns, and frames, using welded components.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the construction team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay up-to-date with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Welding Experience: Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication, preferably in a construction or manufacturing environment.
  • Certification: Certification in welding techniques (e.g., AWS, ASME) is desirable but not essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
