Position Overview:

As an Accounting Assistant at Luxembourg Children’s Village Foundation, you will be an integral part of our finance team, supporting the organization’s financial operations. Your role will involve a variety of accounting tasks, including managing financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with budgeting and reporting. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity.

  • Education: High School or Diploma Degree
  • Experience: 1-2 Basic Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies.
  • Reconcile bank statements and accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the budgeting process by gathering and organizing financial data.
  • Maintain and update financial databases and spreadsheets.
  • Assist with audits and other financial reviews as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial matters.
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the finance department.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial matters.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French or German is a plus.
