Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team at Grasp Restaurant in Doha, Qatar. Key Responsibilities:
- Beverage Preparation: Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks, as well as other beverages, following established recipes and techniques.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and efficient service to all customers, ensuring a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of coffee and beverage offerings, including origins, flavors, and preparation methods, to assist customers with their choices.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain coffee equipment, ensuring it is clean and in good working order.
- Quality Control: Ensure the quality and consistency of all beverages served, adhering to Grasp Restaurant’s standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and dining area, following health and safety regulations.
- Cash Handling: Process payments accurately, handle cash, and balance the cash register.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient service and a positive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a barista or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in coffee and espresso preparation techniques.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an advantage.
