Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate bending machines to bend, shape, or form metal components according to blueprints and specifications.
- Adjust machine settings to ensure accurate and consistent production.
- Inspect workpieces for defects and measure workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of bending machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor machine operations to detect malfunctions and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and company policies.
- Record production data and complete required documentation accurately and timely.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime.
- Continuously seek ways to improve production processes and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bending Machine Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of machine operation, metalworking processes, and fabrication techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.
