Job Description:

As a Catering Chef at Sweetspot, you will be responsible for leading the culinary team in creating and executing extraordinary menus for our clients’ events.

Your duties will include:
  • Developing creative and diverse menus tailored to the specific preferences and dietary requirements of our clients.
  • Planning and organizing all aspects of food preparation, including ingredient selection, recipe development, and portion control.
  • Leading and supervising a team of kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely execution of menu items.
  • Maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste consistency across all dishes.
  • Collaborating with event planners and clients to customize menus and accommodate special requests.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
  • Managing inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed to support catering operations.
  • Overseeing food preparation and execution on-site at events, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Providing leadership, training, and mentorship to kitchen staff to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience as a chef in a catering or hospitality environment, with a strong focus on event catering.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution.
  • Extensive knowledge of various cuisines, cooking techniques, and food trends.
  • Creative flair and a passion for innovation in culinary arts.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
