Position Summary:
APTUN is seeking experienced and highly skilled Crane Operators to join our team in Qatar. As a Crane Operator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials and equipment. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, precision, and adherence to operational protocols.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate Cranes: Safely operate various types of cranes (e.g., mobile, tower, overhead) to lift, move, and position materials and equipment as directed by site supervisors.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on crane equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Load Handling: Calculate load weights and determine appropriate lifting techniques. Use rigging and hoisting attachments to secure loads and ensure proper balance and stability during lifts.
Communication: Communicate effectively with site supervisors, signalers, and other team members to coordinate lifting operations. Use hand signals, radios, and other communication tools to ensure clear and precise instructions.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of crane operations, including daily logs, maintenance reports, and safety inspections. Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Adherence to Protocols: Follow project plans, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise execution of lifting tasks. Comply with all company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a crane operator in a construction or industrial setting. Experience with various types of cranes is preferred.
- Certification: Valid crane operator certification from a recognized authority. Additional certifications in rigging, signaling, and safety training are advantageous.
- Skills: Strong understanding of crane operation principles, load calculations, and safety protocols. Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including lifting heavy objects and working at heights. Good physical stamina and dexterity.
- Communication: Effective communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. Ability to understand and follow complex instructions and safety signals.
- Team Player: Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
