Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a commitment to safe and efficient driving practices. As a Delivery Driver at The WoodSource, you will be responsible for transporting lumber and building materials to our customers in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that orders are delivered accurately and securely.

Key Responsibilities:
Delivery Operations:
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle, such as a truck or van, to transport lumber and building materials to customer locations.
- Load and unload materials onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring that they are securely strapped and protected from damage during transport.
- Follow designated delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Verify delivery instructions and addresses before departure to minimize delivery errors.
Customer Service:
- Provide friendly and courteous service to customers upon delivery, ensuring that all deliveries are made with professionalism and integrity.
- Assist customers with unloading materials and deliver them to the designated location on the property.
- Answer any questions or inquiries from customers regarding their delivery or products.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery vehicle.
- Follow company safety protocols and procedures to ensure safe handling and transport of materials.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure that the delivery vehicle is in proper working condition.
Inventory Management:
- Assist with inventory management by verifying delivery orders and reporting any discrepancies to the warehouse or logistics team.
- Keep accurate records of delivered orders, including delivery times, customer signatures, and any special instructions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
Skills:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver delivery vehicles.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Basic math skills for verifying delivery orders and recording inventory.
