We are seeking a compassionate and organized Dental Assistant to join our team at Dental Practice Dr. Simon & Dr. Donner. Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist dentists during dental procedures, including passing instruments, suctioning, and preparing materials.
  • Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments, ensuring cleanliness and sterilization.
  • Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist.
  • Manage patient records, including updating medical histories and documenting treatment plans.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the dental office calendar.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order necessary materials.
  • Provide administrative support, such as answering phone calls and managing patient correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
  • Foster a welcoming and reassuring environment for patients of all ages.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role.
  • Completion of a certified dental assistant program is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of dental procedures, instruments, and terminology.
  • Proficiency in taking and developing dental X-rays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with dental software and office management systems.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or German is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPR and first aid certification.
  • Knowledge of dental insurance processes and billing procedures.
  • Experience in a pediatric or orthodontic dental practice.
